How do I do it?

Custom Designed

Anything built from scratch is undoubtedly going to be exactly what you need and want with all the core functionalities embedded using the right APIs. Built either with Django or Flask depending on the size of the project or the client's preference. I fully integrate all the needed technologies to give your website the functionalities that you need. Designed to maximize on user experience and effective user interface.

Website Builders

You have probably heard of WordPress. It's the leading drag-and-drop website builder. They make development time for websites very short since they come with a ready made template and theme. Website Builders can also be considered Content Management Systems. Within the CMS is a marketplace where developers sell plugins that are installed in your website to add extra functionality.

This, however, can be a thorn in your heel since some plugins might be poorly optimised, making your website very slow. It has been proven that if the average user spends more than 5 seconds waiting for your website to load they will leave.

Another caveat is that most of these plugins are subscription based meaning you'll always be paying for something to make your website run at 100%.

Websites built this way also feel and look generic since design is very limited.

It is cheaper to have these websites developed, but the maintenance costs might be steep if the core functionalities depend on unstable (a serious security risk) or subscription based plugins.

In conclusion, website builders are, in my opinion, good for the short term.
